I have started to love hiking. In Hong Kong, there are many breathtaking landscapes and sceneries in the high-up mountains.
At the beginning, the trails are mostly easy and gentle, but as I continue to meander through the trails, it would change and turn into narrower, rockier and steeper paths. I would push myself to tackle higher grounds as pristine lakes or skylines start to reveal its beauty before my every eyes. My hard-earned effort would be all worth it as my eyes take in the marvelous and captivating views rewarded only to those who make and complete the challenge!
Hiking up and down the mountains is not a straight and easy path. When the slope is narrow, slippery and rocky, my mountian climbing stick is the tool I need to either give me a push or provide stability to my step.
Are you tackling any challenges at the moment?
Could this “giant” be a medical crisis, relationship problem, financial pressure, workplace issue, unemployment, addiction, stress or emptiness in life?
Do you have the “mountain climbing stick” to help you overcome your problems so that your feet can land on solid ground?
Life is not always smooth-sailing nor a bed of roses.
God never promised us that once we believe in Him, we would live in a bubble, that life’s troubles would not touch us. But He did promise that He will walk beside us through deep valleys, carry us through stormy weathers, empower us when we are weak and give us wisdom to know right from wrong.
Go ahead, take the leap of faith! Trust in God’s unfailing love for you. Throw yourself at His feet, cry out your problems to Him, and see if He won’t move mountains and calm the tumultuous storms for you. And while He is preforming all these miracles, He will hide you in the shadow of His Almighty wings, so that no evils can come near you.
Only just believe!
“Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.”
– Psalm 23:4, AMP
